ABOUT LAYERED EDIT
I’m Marcell-late 20s, transitioning careers after studying digital art and design. I started this blog to reconnect with style not as something superficial, but as something personal, expressive, and always evolving.
To me, personal style is simple: imagine putting one of your favorite outfits on a mannequin, then placing it next to two mannequins wearing whatever is trending. If you brought in everyone you know-your close friends, coworkers, even people who only know you in passing-they should be able to point to your outfit instantly. That clarity is style.
Right now, I’m building a wardrobe that feels intentional: clean silhouettes, refined textures, and simple, well-made pieces that carry me from work to weekends. I’m drawn to brands like Uniqlo and Bronson MFG, and I pull inspiration from Drakes and Todd Snyder. I’m also influenced by timeless essentials-loafers from G.H. Bass, clean white tees, and simple everyday watches that age well
Style for me, is about growth. It’s dressing with purpose, even on days you’re unsure of yourself. It’s stepping into who you’re becoming, one piece at a time.
Layered Edit is where I document that journey-my wardrobe, grooming, starter loc journey, and the creative work that shapes how I see the world.
Welcome.
– Marcell
